Very visual, fast magic!
Magician shows a 4 foot by 5 inch black streamer on both sides, and flips it up and down a few times. Then suddenly, with no cover, the streamer changes to multi-colored in full view of the audience!
You can tie it into a magic coloring book routine, "stealing the colors" out of the book to show the book blank at the end. Or wave the black streamer in the air, as all the kids shout out their favorite colors -- bam! you magically catch every color on the streamer.
Although this is an amazing trick for a kidshow audience, you can no doubt see what a strong item it is for any audience. If you do classic dove productions, you could wave a black streamer, bundle it up, produce a white dove from the black streamer. Then shake the black streamer and it changes to rainbow colors. Bundle it up again, and this time you produce a rainbow (dyed) dove.
