One of Tenyo's best mental effects (right up there with Matchsticks in my opinion), Fortune Sticks takes the methodology of the old classic Age Cards and turns it inside out and backwards to create a very mystifying divination effect.   It looks like this:  the mental magi shows three plastic sticks, about 5 inches long.  The sticks are three different colors and each stick has eight different symbols printed on it -- one symbol near each end on each side of the sticks.  While the magi turns his back, the spectator thinks of one of the designs, and then turns the sticks until he has lined up his thought of design on all three sticks.  He stares at his chosen design on each stick, then closes his hands around the three sticks and rubs his hands to "shuffle" the designs on the sticks again.  He continues to hold the three sticks tightly in his fist, and the magi turns back to the audience, takes a moment to concentrate and then... yes, the magi names the selected design.

Immediately repeat this effect, as this is a case where the repeat strengthens the impact -- it makes clear that the magi is not forcing a design, nor is he getting a peek or fishing or any of the other typcial ways to learn a secret thought.   Examination of the sticks will not reveal the secret.

Caveat:  the "tell" is a visual cue that the magi gets, and so the method demands at least normal or better eyesight.  The "tell" is subtle, and so the effect is not good for low light situations like bars or some restaurants.  But if you have average eyesight and often perform in well-lit places, this trick will fool EVERYONE, laymen and magicians alike.   It was good enough to be chosen for the short-lived Tenyo Elite line, and was sold in a metal version for over $100.  Those are now very hard to find, and so is the original plastic Tenyo version that I am selling here.  Only one in stock!

This one has been carefully opened, and you can see some minor tearing on the package in the photo, but it is in excellent shape, and the props appears to be unused.  Get this now for your collection and your performances.
