Bruce Posgate's booklet has all kinds of ideas with the dove pan, beyond simply cooking some cookies or producing a dove.  Card castles, bead strands, jelly beans, happy birthday banners, etc.  Though he steps over the line when he puts the lid on his head and acts like a "chinese" magician.

This book was originally published by Micky Hades in 1972, but magicians continued to find it useful, so he reprinted it in 1999.  Still a best selling text after almost 50 years!
