THE AWARD WINNING MAGIC OF JOHN CORNELIUS, by Lance Pierce. L&L publishing, 2001 FIRST edition
HARDCOVER with dust jacket as issued. MINT condition
How much can you learn about creativity, routining, finesse and strong magic, if your teacher is a world-champion of magic? Short answer: a LOT! Cornelius won FISM Grand prize in 1979. But most magicians may have heard of him a few years earlier, when Doug Henning opened his first TV special with Cornelius' amazing Fickle Nickel effect. We did not have online search engines back then, so most magicians were scrambling from magic store to magic store, asking where they could get "that incredible Nickel trick that Henning did".
(By the way, you can learn it in this book!)
Cornelius continued to put out incredibly effective and practical close-up magic throughout the 1980's and 1990's. If you know Cornelius' magic, you want this book. If you don't know much about John Cornelius and his magic, you NEED this book.
Check out the photo of part of the Table of Contents pages -- this should give you a good idea of the strong, practical routines that Cornelius tips in this book (well-written and decribed by Lance Pierce and tons of photos).
I got a good price one a couple of these, so you can get this important magic book for much less than the typical $45 retail price.
This is new-old dealer inventory from the early 2000's, but in like new, MINT condition.
